Happy Wednesday, friends! Today (and tomorrow!!) are officially snow days! I can’t decide if I want to be productive or spend my time relaxing and reading! I did decide to link up with Anne in residence to share a list of things I am currently loving, making, taking, wanting, and wondering.
LOVING:
Right now, I am loving my first graders! After the craziness of shut down, a full year of remote learning, and a few years of tough behaviors, this group of first graders has helped me get back my love of teaching! I enjoy going to work and spending my day with them. They make me laugh and we have so much fun!
MAKING:
So, one of my big projects this Christmas was to declutter my “Christmas closet” (where I store all my seasonal decor). I focused on all the Christmas decor, but I also pulled out things that had just gotten thrown in there over the years (yes, plural!). One of the things I found was this bag that had a wreath form and Valentine material. My plan was to make a torn fabric wreath. Well, it’s FINALLY getting done! I started working on this and I can’t wait to have it finished and hanging on my front door (hopefully before Valentine’s Day)!!
TAKING:
I am currently taking LOTS of steps! So, a little backstory….last year, a coworker joined several virtual “races” and was always showing the medals she received. Recently, ads for those virtual “races” have been showing up on my Facebook, so I decided to sign up! Really, I just wanted the cute medals! I signed up for one that was 150 miles! Really, not the best choice for my first race, but I really wanted the medal! It runs from January 2nd to March 12th. However, I didn’t expect to get the ‘Rona and that slowed me down a little. So now I’m trying hard to get all those miles done. Not sure I’ll get it all done by March 12th, but I’m gonna try! My goal is to walk 3 miles each day – that’s a lot for my out-of-shape-never-done-alot-of-walking self! It is definitely a challenge!
WANTING:
I am looking forward to warmer weather when we can take our new-to-us RV out for vacation! I’ve been wanting an RV for awhile and we had an opportunity come up that we were able to take advantage of. I’m so excited to jump into the world of RVing and do all kinds of traveling! I’m already planning a few trips! Have you taken any fun trips lately and can give me some great tips? Leave a comment below – I’m eager for all the tips!
WONDERING:
So far, 3 out of 4 of us have spent time in January with the ‘Rona. I’m just wondering when it will be Rylie’s turn. We are a little tired of quarentining and being stuck at home. She’s missed so much school and then it’s a fight to get her to look online for assignments and get them done at home. I’m so ready for all of this craziness to be gone!!
