Happy Friday, Friends! I am starting this Friday Favorites post with my most favorite of the week….
FAVORITE #1: Yup! It’s another snow day for us! We had 3 snow days last week, which I thoroughly enjoyed, so I was surprised to have another one this week! We don’t usually get so many, but I sure do enjoy them all!! It’s even better this week because Monday and Tuesday we have off for Winter Break! 5 day weekend?? Yes, please!

FAVORITE #2: Valentine’s Day! It’s a crazy day in First Grade and it’s even crazier when it falls on a Monday! We had fun throughout the day though. I’m sure the fact that I have two prep times on Mondays helped save my sanity! I got lots of goodies from my sweet students and they loved passing out their cards and treats to their friends.
FAVORITE #3: My baby is 12!!! :insert tears here: On Tuesday, we took her and some friends skating and had pizza and cupcakes to celebrate! Today is her actual birthday so she got all her gifts from us today. Last night we took her to eat at Texas Roadhouse for her birthday dinner.
FAVORITE #4: I walked a 5k this week in honor of my dad’s beagle, who he tragically lost in January. I have been joining these virtaul walks/runs and this is the second one I’ve completed. I’m still working on a Winter Challenge that goes through March. This race was done through Will Run For Bling and Charity and it supports Canine Companions, a non-profit organization that provides highly trained assistance dogs for people with disabilities. I also like these because you can run, walk or bike and they are great for all ages and abilities. I’m not a runner but I have enjoyed walking them. Since it’s so cold right now, I’ve been walking along with the Leslie Sansone videos on YouTube.
