Q What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned during your career?
A Details are vital in every case. Much of advocacy is storytelling—but to effectively tell our client’s story, we must have a complete understanding of the details of their lives (personal, professional and financial). To accomplish that, we partner with our clients in a way that allows them to feel supported, involved and informed at all times. Establishing that rapport allows us to accurately and effectively represent their lived experience and is essential to a successful case outcome. We pride ourselves on thinking critically and considerately, being patient and creative, knowing what to emphasize, and understanding what problem areas need to be addressed and alleviated. At the end of a case, having a command of the facts and file and building rapport with our clients are the keys to success.
