A second man has been arrested in connection to a November 2023 death of a 20-year-old who was found with gunshot wounds after crashing his car into a parked vehicle in the North Kensington area, according to Montgomery County police.

De’Shaun McCrimmon, 22, was charged with first-degree murder for his involvement in the shooting death of Orlando Alexander Satz Jr. of Capital Heights, police announced Tuesday in a statement.

According to police, Satz Jr. died Nov. 28, 2023, after his Toyota Corolla collided with a parked vehicle in the 3600 block of Spruell Drive. Police were dispatched to the scene around 9:40 p.m. After hearing the crash, neighbors pulled Satz Jr. out of his car and attempted CPR.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to the crash and found Satz with apparent gunshot wounds, according to Tuesday’s statement. Satz Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives obtained a warrant for McCrimmon’s arrest Saturday and charged him with first-degree murder. He was arrested Tuesday in Silver Spring. McCrimmon is being held at Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he is awaiting a bond hearing, the statement said.

McCrimmon is the second person charged in connection to Satz Jr.’s death. On June 20, Jose Ramon Ventura, 24, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact for driving McCrimmon and another individual believed to be responsible for Satz Jr.’s death.
