Metro Transit Police officers are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed Thursday night following a dispute at the Silver Spring Transit Center, according to Metro officials.
At roughly 11:40 p.m., Metro Transit Police officers responded to the report of a stabbing at the center at 8404 Colesville Road. A preliminary investigation has found the victim and a suspect were involved in a “verbal altercation” when the suspect stabbed the victim, Metro said Friday morning in a statement.
According to the statement, the man’s injuries were not life-threatening and he was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Metro Transit police officers continue to investigate the incident, the statement said.
