Emergent BioSolutions, a Rockville-based company that produces pharmaceuticals including Narcan and anthrax vaccines, is eliminating 300 positions and shuttering manufacturing facilities.

The move comes after Emergent reported a $9 million quarterly profit and was awarded a $235.8 million contract from the Department of Defense (WTOP)

Montgomery Housing Partnership named Nonprofit Developer of the Year

The Washington Business Journal named Montgomery Housing Partnership Inc. as its Nonprofit Developer of the Year.

County provides zero emission bus goals

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation released a plan to convert the county’s buses to zero-emission vehicles by 2035. The county operates 400 Ride-On buses and currently 14 are electric vehicles. (MyMCM)
