Construction crews broke ground this month on a $92 million project to build a 191-unit senior living community in North Bethesda’s Pike District.
Located across from Pike & Rose, The Pinnacle at 11555 Old Georgetown Rd., will offer a variety of care options for residents. The 17-story building will include a pool and luxury spa as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space, according to Texas-based developer Silverstone Senior Living.
The project marks the company’s second venture in Montgomery County. Silverstone also developed The Seneca Rockville at 55 West Gude Drive.
In late February, the company received a commercial building permit to construct the 338,258-square-foot facility, according to the Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services database. Issuance of the permit was first reported by the Montgomery Newsletter.
Tami Cumings, Silverstone’s chief operating officer, wrote in an email to MoCo360 Thursday that the company broke ground on the development this month.
Once completed, The Pinnacle will provide independent living units as well as those for assisted living and memory care. Amenities will include an indoor pool, outdoor deck and veranda, fitness center, luxury salon and spa as well as lounges and restaurants.
The building is set to be completed by March 2026, according to Cumings.
Silverstone has developed senior housing communities in Texas, Virginia and Maryland.
