Organic to Go, the salad shop at 4832 Bethesda Ave. in Bethesda, seemed doomed from the start, serving too-similar offerings as the uber-popular sweetgreen across the street. Now, the shop, owned by the Seattle-based OM Holdings, is moving to the Wildwood Shopping Center on Old Georgetown Road sometime in September, and will be called Mixt Greens, another of the company’s brands. And in its place on Bethesda Avenue … drum roll … Cava Mezze Grill, the terrific new concept from the Greek guys at Cava restaurant in Rockville (and Capitol Hill). Think Chipotle, but with a Mediterranean twist: you line up at a counter and choose your fillings for a pita wrap. I love that kind of stuff.
What did you think of the salads at Organic to Go versus the ones at sweetgreen?
